Plain and simple: your photos are yours, they stay private, and they are only ever used to create your pet's portraits.
What we collect
Your account email, the pet photos you upload, the portraits we generate for you, your portrait balance and purchase history, and basic usage events (like which styles get picked) so we can improve the product.
What your photos are used for
One thing: creating your pet's portraits. Your photos are never used to train AI models, never sold, and never shared with anyone except the AI services that generate your portrait.
Who processes your data, and where
Your account and photos are stored with Supabase in Montréal, Canada. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. To create a portrait, your photo is sent to Google (Gemini) or OpenAI for processing. The site runs on Vercel, with Vercel Analytics for anonymous traffic statistics. If you accept the cookie notice, we also use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to measure traffic and advertising; decline and neither one loads.
How long we keep it
Your uploads and your portraits stay in My pets so you can come back to them. We keep them until you delete them. You can delete your account and every photo yourself from the Account page, and that deletion happens immediately.
Your rights (Québec Law 25)
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing support@petportrait.photo. The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Chris Pantelis, reachable at the same address. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Cookies
Without consent we set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. If you accept the cookie notice, we add measurement cookies from Google Analytics and the Meta pixel so we can see which pages and ads work, and the Trustpilot review box on our home page loads. You can decline, and the site works exactly the same.
Printed items
Printed portraits are produced and shipped by a print partner, most often from a facility inside your own country or the European Union; a few destinations ship from further away. Placing a print order means we send that partner your delivery address and the file to print, for that purpose only. The partner keeps its copy of the file for 30 days and then deletes it.
